Maintenance

By Leasing Pro

Who is responsible for maintaining the vehicle during the lease period?

Typically, the lessee (the person who is leasing the vehicle) is responsible for maintaining the vehicle during the lease period. This includes regular maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and other services as outlined in the lease agreement.

What if the vehicle needs repairs during the lease period?

If the vehicle needs repairs during the lease period, the lessee is generally responsible for covering the cost of those repairs, unless the vehicle is covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

Can I take the vehicle to any repair shop for maintenance or repairs?

Most lease agreements allow the lessee to take the vehicle to any repair shop, but it is recommended to check with the leasing company to ensure they approve of the repair shop.

What happens if I don't keep up with the vehicle's maintenance during the lease period?

If the lessee fails to keep up with the vehicle's maintenance during the lease period, it may result in additional charges at the end of the lease term, or even termination of the lease agreement.

Can I make modifications to the vehicle during the lease period?

Modifications to the vehicle during the lease period may not be allowed and may result in additional charges or termination of the lease agreement. Check with the leasing company for their specific policy.

Are routine maintenance services covered under the lease agreement?

It depends on the specific lease agreement, but some leasing companies may cover routine maintenance services, while others may require the lessee to cover the cost.

What should I do if I am having trouble affording the maintenance and repairs on my leased vehicle?

If you are having trouble affording the maintenance and repairs on your leased vehicle, it is recommended to contact the leasing company to discuss your options. They may be able to work with you to find a solution.
